MICHIGAN STATE PREMIER SOCCER PROGRAM

The Michigan State Premier Soccer Program is a state wide league, which offers competition at U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 age groups. MSPSP has a long tradition in Michigan soccer history and is a key element to the Michigan Wolves longstanding Tradition of Excellence.

MSPSP is Michigan largest and most prestigious youth soccer league. There are multiple divisions within the league, which allows promotion and relegation. Promotion and relegation allows for a more even level of competition within each league, which lends itself to more meaningful games

MSPSP Premier Divisions may require state wide travel, as teams from all over the state compete in the league. The classic divisions are regionalized in order to reduce travel and provide local competition.

Each team trains twice per week during the fall (U13, U14 & U15 Trapped Players), winter and spring seasons. Additional training includes street soccer on Friday evenings and functional training, which is held twice per month in the spring.

Video analysis - Games are recorded on a periodical basis and coaches host video analysis sessions in our team room at the St. Joes Sports Dome.  Games and individual performance can thereby be used as a tool for development.

Winter Futsal League - Players from various age groups are intermixed and placed on teams for weekly futsal competition in December and January. The league builds the players’ technical proficiency, enhances the club community, and breeds healthy competition.

The Michigan Wolves has arguably the best staff in the region. All our staff are licensed through US Soccer and the United Soccer Coaches organizations. For more information please check out the TEAMS page and COACHES bios.

For those players interested in continuing their playing career in college, we take an active role in helping young men and their families engage in the college search process. In addition to regular meetings and an annual Wolves College Night, we host a variety of events as well as attend tournaments around the nation.  These include:

  • Wolves and Legacy Showcase at Legacy (December)
  • Novi Jaguars Showcase (January)
  • Las Vegas (February)
  • Michigan Wolves (March)
  • Ohio Elite - Cincinnati (March)or Crossroads- Indianapolis (April)
  • State Cup

For more specific information on which events are planned for your team please refer to the team plans.

Due to teams qualifying for the National League and Midwest Conference, the names of the clubs can change on a year to year basis.  However, promotion and relegation means that our teams will be competing against the best US Youth Soccer teams within the Midwest Conference and Nationally.

Within MSPSP teams are accepted from around the state.  Travel can vary and is dependent on the division each team is placed.

For more information please refer to the teams page of the specific age group and team you are interested in.

Yes, the Michigan Wolves provides training opportunities for players who are not involved in high school soccer.

The Wolves have arguably the best facilities in the state. Our teams primarily utilize the St. Joe’s Sports Dome and the lighted outdoor stadium field at Schoolcraft College.

High performing players within their own teams will be given opportunities to train and play with different teams within their own age group (Academy, ECNL, National League) or the age group above. These decisions will be made in collaboration between the players head coach, the head coach of the proposed team and the age group director. This decision will only be made if it is in the best interests of the players development.
